Five men came together on
the campus of the University of Oklahoma on a
Sunday afternoon in the spring of 1922 to found
Kappa Theta Fraternity. The Principles
which justified this founding were mutual
friendship among these men and the desire to
cooperate in securing better fellowship, in
promoting scholarship and in striving for higher
social and moral ideals.

The growth of the chapter was at
first slow; then rapid. A chapter house was
purchased in the spring in the spring of 1925.
In the January, 1927 when Kappa Theta
petition the national Fraternity of Delta Chi, the
chapter had an alumni organization of 36 men and an
active membership of 35 men.
On May 13, 1927 Delta Chi initiated the Kappa
Theta members and founded the Oklahoma Chapter
of Delta Chi Fraternity.
